As some of you know, I
am teaching in the Advanced English for Migrants Program at Regency, where
I teach Core three mornings a week. This involves teaching the modules
Core Speaking and Listening, Core Reading and Writing, Workforce Preparation
and Work/Study Experience Placement. It's very enjoyable and stimulating
teaching students at this level, from many different professional backgrounds.
I am finding this professional development very useful and enjoyable and
in many ways a revelation! I am keen to get my students on to ESL talk
as soon as I can - to use the chat rooms, have a look at all the great
grammar quizzes etc. I think these will be very useful to direct students
with specific problems to. I am also keen to use the student work pages
later on. It's great to have more confidence in using Email and the net. |
