Vancouver and BC 2001 - Grouse Mountain

These are the gondolas (as they call them in Canada) that take people up the mountain. About 10 minutes of steep, slow climbing packed in a cage with about 100 others. I tried to jostle my way to the back of the gondola to catch the best view of Vancouver receding below us.
When we got to the top we scrambled around like good Australians searching for any trace of snow. We found some and stood in it, not knowing just how much snow we'd see over the next week! (Michael's the grey one on the left. Catriona in the middle, and Rita on the right.)
